Chinese for dinner : )

my awesome fortune :)

I am very disturbed by the fact that the Starburst packet I bought from Rite Aid yesterday contained nearly 30 lemon flavored squares, 20 oranges flavored (and I never eat orange flavored candy) but only ten strawberry flavored squares :(

I love lima beans with saag : )
dinner: pulao with lima beans : )

here is an excellent video on how to thread your upper lip. my sister taught me how to thread years ago after she practiced her threading maneuvers on a tomato. go ahead and try it at home! when you twist the thread make sure you twist the thread towards your direction meaning the fingers should first come to you. do a pretty flower mudra:

So today, one of my Kindergarteners took an extra piece of candy at the end of the class. She knows the rules and is only allowed one piece of candy. I suspected she took two and as she hurriedly walked away I said come back, let me see your hand. She took two pieces!! That is not good. I told her that she knew what the rules were and she didn't follow them and now she had to put both pieces back. She left with no candy. I told my supervisor what I did and she agreed with what I did. But I came home and told my mom and mom is upset with me and is now not speaking to me. She said I was too harsh and should have let her have one. #angst

Terror attacks are never any good. I'm just grateful that my family hasn't suffered from one. A few years ago though my family was worried while my mother and uncle and aunt were in Mumbai during the terrorist attack on the Taj Mahal hotel. They were staying in Mumbai (I can't remember what hotel) and chilling in their room and my mom started saying to her brother and sister-in-law that they should go out for dinner at the restaurant in the Taj Mahal hotel. I think she was feeling like they were together the whole trip and wanted the husband and wife to go out for dinner to spend some time together. My aunt doesn't like to go out much so she was esisting but my mom kept telling them to go. They were thinking about it and then decided on not going. I'm so glad they decided not to go. They ended up leaving very early in the morning so that they could stay in the airport before their flight. It was a tense day as everyone was on the phone constantly checking in on each other but that day brought a lot of grief.

Terror happens in all ways big and small. Let us respect each other's boundaries and live peacefully. Peace ~
