5 Daal

measure 1/2 cup whole black moong daal: 


1/4th cup whole green moong daal: 


1/4th cup masar daal:


1/16th cup mot daal: 


1/16th cup chana daal:


beautiful mixture: 


wash the daals once: 


put ginger in the slow cooker:


add daal: 


we actually ran out of haldi (turmeric). I don't know how that's possible so whatever was left in the jar, we added water to it and poured it in. add 1 and 1/4 tsp salt too.


add 5 cups water. may need to add another cup later. put on high, cover and cook for a long time:
