I am happy to announce that I will not be getting an eye exam at Walmart (what a pain in the arse). I got my lenses replaced in my glasses by a local optical center for $58 and in 20 minutes. The world looks so different after five years of scratches and wear. I can also give them my contacts information and get contacts. Hallelujer.

"My balance is brought about by weighing my need for freedom with my need for friendly fun and sexy times. I balance my need for security with my need for revolution. I balance my need to please with my need to resist what is not right for my life. I balance my need for beauty with my need to be sweetly distasteful." - http://www.chaninicholas.com/autumnal-equinox-libra-new-moon-manifestations/
New Moon Day ~ http://astrologywithjanspiller.com/2014/09/20/new-moon-reminder-wednesday-september-24-libra-214-am-edst/
I'm making my ten wishes today. Years ago I got Jan Spiller's New Moon Astrology Book and it changed my life dramatically. I made wishes for a couple years on the new moon and then stopped for a couple years and I'm getting back into it again. I can feel the Potential and am very Excited : ) ~

You are not going to believe what just happened. I had gotten an email from the organization yesterday about how I would receive copies of my clearances when I start training tomorrow. I thought 'fine' whatever at least I'll get them. THEN I got a copy of them via email from the other lady I had originally spoken to. yay!!!! I was very grateful and said I appreciated it and I immediately got everything printed and scanned and RIGHT when I opened my school email account just now, I got an email from the school saying they had a field placement for me but they still needed my clearances. Well guess what I did. I responded that I had just received everything and gotten them scanned and replied happily (and then I noticed that I forgot to add the attachment). So I replied again and said 'sorry please find attached' and ATTACHED my pdf with all my clearances. I cannot tell you how accomplished I feel right now. #wearing my Marine Science Consortium sweatshirt I got from a science to trip to Wallops Island, Virginia in 11th grade #love this sweatshirt
I would like to continue to express how happy I am. So as you know I don't have medical insurance. So since the beginning of the semester my dad has been asking me if I applied for medical insurance from school. I of course kept forgetting and/or wasn't motivated to and I missed applying to the deadline which was yesterday (for fall or annual coverage. I can still apply for spring/summer coverage). Shoot. Anyhoo, after reviewing the policy it turns out to be an utter waste of money to apply for this student insurance which doesn't cover acupuncture, vision, dental, private nursing duty, etc. etc. and I would have to pay $140 a month and also meet a $1400 deductible (much better than the $3500 deductible I had to meet for the medical insurance I had from law school....vomit). Anyhoo, after discussing it with the rents everyone was in agreement that it wasn't worth getting and we'd rather pay out of pocket for the services I need (score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my life has come full circle on some level....on a side note, my parents' insurance covers my mom's acupuncture treatments.....!!!!!!)
I am extremely happy paying cash for my $60 foot xray, my $78 vision exam at Walmart, $120 for my contacts, [don't know how much it costs] for my lenses, $60/month for acupunture + $10 - $30 a month for herbs, $150 for a chest x ray, $$$ for my gynecological exam and $$$ for my heart checkup. I'd rather take the $2600++ I will have to pay towards insurance towards directly paying for services and having it count towards something.
I will however be looking into Obamacare as required by dad....
I am the bomb diggity....

so before I lose my happy feeling before I get lost in the stress of it all, I'd like to express the well-being I'm experiencing. I got my period today (it's all good) and woke up late, but I woke up to Papa at home (I was out last night so I didn't see him yesterday) and methi pronthees on the table yummy! Then I was solidifying plans with my mom about helping her at her jewelry show tomorrow and I was thinking of just finishing my homework today and hangin around. But then guess what happened!! My friend and dancing colleague called me about a gig tomorrow! In a desperate situation students canceled on her so I'm helping out. We are going to perform at Phipps tomorrow for the tropical Indian exhibit festival thingamadoo (I had a feeling I would end up at Phipps tomorrow). So I have to incorporate that into my day tomorrow (yay!!!!). I'm gonna learn a new partner piece and practice my solo today and practice the other two partner pieces we have in our repertoire with my friend tomorrow before our performance time. Papa worked on my laptop and now the parents are gone to Walmart for something (thank God they've been bickering and fighting all day which kinda ruins the happiness feeling but alas that is life) and I'm drinking my second cup of cochin masala chai. Community, art and celebration this is what I love. I'm such a sappy Libran.

and I still haven't gotten my one textbook in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told my professor a couple weeks ago that I didn't have my book yet so he said to go to any library and read the textbook so I don't fall behind. I searched for this book amongst all the Allegheny, Fayette, Westmoreland and Washington county libraries and the only library that had it was the Pitt Hillman library. So I went there today (today was such a bad day I can't tell you). I couldn't check it out because I am not a Pitt student and neither does the library have reciprocity with California University or Westmoreland County Community College. My Carnegie Library card doesn't work either. I was offered a guest card which would cost $100. However, if I was a paid alumnus I would get for $50 or even $25. I ended up scanning quite a few pages of the book for free and emailed them to myself but then I stopped because I thought it was pointless. I didn't want to read the book in the library and absorb the information in my head because I felt desirous like an old, white man fart and wanted to sit at my office desk or chair and have my own copy and read it. I did think though that if I was reading it in the library I could get my assignment done on the computer simultaneously but as a guest I was allowed no access to the Internet. (and then I had these thoughts like what the fuck am I doing I am gonna fucking kill someone).
The nice thing about this new tutoring gig is that they are paying for the clearances!!!! And I am getting a much better pay and a routine schedule. How nice. They are also paying for my physical, drug test and so forth. I've never done drugs so I have no worry there. This makes me feel like there may be some hope in the world. What I'm planning is once the clearances come back from the organization, I'm going to get copies and then forward them to the University. The University found my earlier copies of my clearances unacceptable because they were over a year old. I hate how the state government has its own rules and organizations and universities have their own rules. Child abuse clearances are good for two years unless there is a break in unemployment according to the Dept. of Education. However, the University wants them every year. Fine. But then I have to find the budget to get them and attend to the University emails (my school account which I did not check in June or July) with fifty thousand exclamation marks asking the students to get the clearances completed. Well. I'm kinda on a budget and since you're not paying for them it may take time on my part. Anyhoo, I'm hoping my Act 33/34 clearances come back by tomorrow because they are due at the University by tomorrow. They come back much faster to organizations than to invididuals - good thinking on my part : )
The other annoying thing is that I cannot use my fingerprinting results across departments. My fingerprinting for the Department of Public Welfare was paid for by the 'tutoring' organization but I cannot use the same fingerprints for the Department of Education which is what the University wants. I had to pop out $28.75 to get my fingers massaged for one minute (last year I paid thirty something can't remember). Moreoever, the University requires the unofficial letter regarding the fingerprinting. The fingerprinting lady told me that in actuality, no organization/whatever is supposed to have any evidence, let alone paper evidence, of your fingerprints. You're supposed to give your PAE number and they can look you up. The University (and this other organization actually) wants the unofficial letter that is going to take a couple weeks to get in the mail. Lord I am not getting paid enough to do this.
