Aloo Tikki

Aloo Tikkis are a yummy appetizer. Boil potatoes (8 or 9?), cut up and add two small chopped onions:


add coriander leaves and salt: 


also add red mirchi (spice) and garam masala (coriander and cumin):


crush anardana (pomegranate seeds) in a mortar and pestle:


also prepare paneer (can buy this at the Indian store) and mash up:


add salt, red mirchi (spice) and garam masala (coriander and cumin):


add crushed anardana seeds:


also add pieces of bread to the potato mixture and then mash the whole mixture:


then prepare the pedal (dough ball) like this:



add a little of the mashed up paneer:


then roll it all into a pedi (dough ball):


then cook on the pan:


beautiful tikkis:


incredibly delicious with green chutney on top:


yummy:


can also eat with chhole (chick peas):
